Robots in the Food Industry

Bakery Production - Confectionary - Frozen Foods - Vegetable Processing - Dairy Products

Advantages of using robots in the food industry:-
- Reduced labour costs
- Improved production efficiency
- Higher processing speeds
- Increase output/capacity through higher speeds, continuous production
- Improved hygiene
- Reduced health and safety risks i.e. repetitive strain injuries
- Higher level of accuracy and repeatability
- Unmanned "lights out" production

Application examples:-
1. Cheese production ~ Stirring curds, Moulding, Packing
2. Baking ~ Application of yolk, Mould handling, Palletising
3. Meat processing ~ Slicing/chopping, Cold storage, Labelling
4. Frozen foods ~ Sorting, Cold storage palletising

Uses: Slicing,Positioning,Sorting,Packaging,Mixing,Palletising
